Who qualifies for an ArtInspired Babies Membership Card?
The program's goal is to produce wonderful baby portraits and is all inclusive to those who want to invest for their favorite baby, an awesome savings deal and provide them with memories for years to come. Purchase the card at anytime for a little one under 2 years old. Parents, grandparents, friends and others can provide a membership that will be attached to a special little person until that infant is 2 years old.
Can I just book a session with you without this membership?
Of course. We do not make this a requirement by any means to use our service. We just wanted to create an opportunity for repeat customers to save money. Our regular session price will apply if you don't desire a membership at this time. Regular sessions start at $150 for 1-2 hours coverage and provide the same amount of service that our membership rate of $45 does. If you have a family member under 2, you can save substantially by purchasing a membership.
I want a membership but my child is 3 months away from turning 2 years old... should I still get one?
It still would be a brilliant move on your part because the initial fee includes a COMPLIMENTARY SESSION and so many savings! You can even try to squeeze in more sessions before the card terminates and use it to do a family portrait with baby. Membership also gives you many perks, so you shouldn't hesitate to get yours ASAP.
We are expecting! Can we pre-purchase our membership?
You are more than welcome to reserve one :-) However, it will not be effective for use until your little one is born in order to finalize the membership duration. If you are wanting maternity photos, we do have several packages available. Expectant mothers are the most beautiful beings on this planet. It would be an honor to get to know you before the baby is born and then rejoice with you when the moment finally arrives!
Can we include our family in the sessions? What about our other children?
Each session can cover up to 3 other people for no extra charge. Our focus will be mostly on the newborn and the moments when baby is interacting with the included people. We can even take a moment to grab that all important family portrait. Anyone of your choosing can be included in the session. Additional people can be included at the added rate of only $15 per individual. If you are including an army, which sometimes happens, contact me directly and I can give you some other options.
Do I get to keep the negatives of the photographs?
Premium members are provided a CD negative (150 images of choice) at the completion of the program. Basic members can purchase negatives a la carte at a discounted rate.
I want to show off my pictures. Can I post them on my Facebook or MySpace?
I too love to share and live on social networking sites. I completely understand. You will have plenty of ways to get your baby's photos be seen. I will do a blog about your session and provide you a link to it. There are also slideshow generator buttons on our album site that you can post on your profile. And you are more than welcome to provide your access code to your family and friends that may want to order some photos for themselves. They will enjoy the same savings you do with your access code.
Our proofs are watermarked and we ask you to respect all copyright laws when distributing your pictures. You have my permission to use the photos for personal use.
What should my baby wear? Can I bring extra clothes and toys?
The goal is to never let our photography get in the way of baby's comfort and safety. Before every shoot, we will work with you to prepare you for the session. Most parents of very young children prefer to shoot at home or in their neighborhood. This is wonderful for the sleep-deprived moms and dads who don't have to lug around so many things to the shoot. We will come to you! We use natural light and some other techniques that will not impede on the space of you home. We won't come in with complicated and bulky lighting equipment. It's just not necessary. Our fill lights that we may employ are not fire hazards and will not burn anyone upon contact like old traditional lighting once did. We've upgraded to safer and more energy efficient light sources.
But back to the subject of clothing... :-) You can choose the styles that best suit you. Again, we will be able to discuss this in detail before your shoot.

We are currently working on a comprehensive list of places we recommend... but off the top of my head, my favorites are the following: Noland Trail (Newport News), Yorktown Riverwalk, Newport News Park, City Center in Newport News, Fort Monroe and Sandy Bottom Nature Park in Hampton.
